Hayao Miyazaki latest and final film the wind rises has some of the most stunning backgrounds in animation I've seen to date. This scene is one of the best examples of the environments in the film. The film is set in a time where patriotism is rife through japan so the background really emulate the beauty of the country and the general tone of the country and that time in history.
