These are parts of the story board from Miyazaki's: Howl's Moving Castle. They are very interesting as they give a feel on what he prioritises during his creative process and what things seem important to come across in the film. The frames all have varying levels of detail on them. The 1st frame on the left is the establishing shot for the film so it will be the first thing the audience sees. This frame seems to be one of the most detailed, I assume the level of detail is greater because Miyazaki wanted to show off the style for the rest of the film to everyone else he would be working. In the frame directly below it he shows the movement of the train but neglect large amounts of the background detail. His working method seems to be very efficient as he doesn't seem to do colouring or even character detail that has already been established. This method is interesting for my own storyboards in future as leaving out detail that is already known in some slide will allow me to allocate me more time to making the establishing slides more detailed.
